Network of University Challenges
Over the past 10 years, various national universities
have established and maintained innovation
ecosystems in collaboration with regional businesses,
academic institutions, and government bodies. These
innovation programs are part of a national University
Challenge ecosystem, aimed at connecting students
and organizations on themes such as innovation,
sustainability, and societal impact. This year, the
University of Groningen (RUG) has decided to
launch its own program, following the success at
TU Eindhoven, TU Delft, Wageningen University &
Research, University of Twente, Tilburg University,
Maastricht University, Erasmus University and
University of Amsterdam.
The Ecosystem
Students and partners in the University of Groningen
Challenge are part of a broad and diverse ecosystem
of stakeholders focused on innovation and social
responsibility. The challenge is backed by a wide
range of institutions, the schools, major corporations,
innovative SMEs, and government bodies.
Participation provides those involved with a unique
opportunity to engage with this dynamic network,
fostering collaboration and driving forward new ideas.
